✔️ Eligibility Criteria FOR UK Government Commonwealth Startup Fellowship 2025
To be considered, applicants must:
Be a citizen or refugee of a low or middle-income Commonwealth country
Be permanently based in that country
Hold a minimum of a graduate-level qualification
Have strong English communication skills
Not have participated in a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship within the last 5 years
Be available for in-person participation in the Ghana bootcamp
In addition, your startup must:
Be in active development for at least 6 months
Have a working MVP (minimum viable product)
Show early traction (e.g., user growth, revenue, partnerships)
Exhibit innovation in product, service, or market
The program strongly encourages applications from underrepresented groups and provides specific support for disabled applicants.

📝 Application Requirements
Applicants must complete an online form that includes:
Education and employment background
Company registration and your role as founder
Metrics showing startup performance (signups, revenue, etc.)
Competitor research and intellectual property status
A 1-minute elevator pitch video
Written responses (150–250 words) on:
The problem your startup addresses
Your innovation and intended impact
Team background and dedication
Your motivation for joining the fellowship
A valid passport or national ID scan
Contact info for three referees (one must be a current/former employer)

Fellows will be expected to:
Abide by the CSC’s code of conduct and policies
Fully engage in all program activities
Uphold high standards of ethics and professionalism
Submit a final report outlining how the fellowship supported their growth
Note: Former UK/Commonwealth government employees are not eligible unless they left their position at least three years prior.
