University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Scholarship 2025
The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Scholarship is now accepting applications for its Scholarship Program for the academic year 2025. This opportunity is open to international students from across the globe who wish to pursue Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs at UEF.
With approximately 500 student places available across 25 programs, the scholarship is specifically designed for non-European citizens. Studies for selected programs will commence in the autumn of 2025. UEF hosts a diverse student community, including around 2,000 international students from over 100 countries.
Scholarship applications must be submitted alongside applications for admission to the respective programs. Detailed information is provided below.

Scholarship Benefits
Three types of scholarships are offered to non-European applicants:
- UEF Scholarship: A 100% tuition waiver.
- Partial Tuition Waiver: Covers up to 50% of the tuition fee.
- Finnish Proficiency Waiver: Can be applied for during studies at UEF.
Note: Tuition is free for Finnish citizens as well as citizens of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland.

Eligibility Criteria OF University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Scholarship
- Open to both international and Finnish citizens.
- For Bachelor’s programs, applicants must have completed secondary education.
- For Master’s programs, applicants must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants must meet the specific requirements of their chosen program.
English Language Requirement
An English language test is not required if the applicant has completed a Bachelor’s degree from a university located in:
