Applications are now open for the UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2025 in Colombia (Fully Funded), a fully funded international event that will take place in Cartagena, Colombia, this October. The Hackathon brings together young innovators from across the globe to design creative solutions that address some of the most urgent challenges in today’s digital world.

From AI and misinformation to online hate speech, platform dominance, and threats to information integrity, participants will collaborate, compete, and showcase their ideas on how to build a safer and more inclusive digital future.

In 2024, UNESCO welcomed 202 teams in Indonesia. This year, winners of the Hackathon will be flown to Colombia to present their projects during the Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week Conference, held from 23–24 October 2025. All travel and accommodation costs will be covered by UNESCO.
